Pros and Cons of the VLCD

It became popular among people with eating disorders and now popular with people who are looking to lose a huge amount of weight in little time. HCG or human chorionic gonadotropin is a hormone found in pregnant women created by the placenta. People on the HCG diet would inject the hcg while following a 500 calorie diet. 800, you will be starving. Sure, you can eat alot of vegetables, but that will grow old fast.

Although I did not do this longer than a week, to prolong a diet such as this (without vitamins) will lead to kidney stones, gallstones, hair loss, etc.

I have been on a VLCD for about 9 days and I have lost 8.5 lbs. I am loving the extra energy I feel from [عزيزي الزائر يتوجب عليك التسجيل لمشاهدة الرابط للتسجيل اضغط هنا] eating right. I am not starving because I am eating foods that are highly satiating like apples. I am following no specific plan, just Low cal, High fiber, High [عزيزي الزائر يتوجب عليك التسجيل لمشاهدة الرابط للتسجيل اضغط هنا] protein, and I am sticking to under 1,000 cal per day. I have also cut out meat, except for one slice of beef bologna a day. 2tbs of 180 cal organic peanut butter and Jillian Michaels (Biggest Loser) Chocolate protein shakes help me get tons of protein. I’m also being careful not to "drink my calories" by sticking to water, unsweet tea, the rare black coffee and any 0cal diet snapple (they taste great).

ANYWAY. I just thought I’d add in my experience. 🙂

I just started a VLCD for almost a week now. I’m sticking to a 500 600 cal diet. I eat 5 times a day (abiut 100 to 125 cals a meal) I also work out 30 45 mins a day. The only reason I’m on such a low cal dirty is because my bmi [عزيزي الزائر يتوجب عليك التسجيل لمشاهدة الرابط للتسجيل اضغط هنا] is 32 witch is slightly obese and my dr suggested a major change. I have not weighed myself yet by I want from a size 12 to a size 10 so I am seeing results. I would not recommend a VLCD with exercise if you have a normal BMI though.
