Train Depot in Rural Connecticut Transformed into Welcoming Modern Home
A tiny local Train Depot in rural Connecticut, USA was completely reinvented by the creative team at Gray Organschi Architecture. The resulting Depot House is original looking and quite welcoming. We found out the studio saved and reinforced the existing 19th century foundation, cutting the costs of the new building. Two wooden volumes-reminiscent of neighboring barns- create space for a large open plan between them and hint towards the region’s agricultural heritage.
