Arthur Cave, the 15-year-old son of Nick Cave and wife Susie Bick, died suddenly Tuesday after falling off a cliff in Brighton, England. In a statement, Cave and Bick confirmed their son’s death, "Our son Arthur died on Tuesday evening. He was our beautiful, happy, loving boy. We ask that we be given the privacy our family needs to grieve at this difficult time." Investigators said that Cave’s death is not being treated as suspicious.

"A 15-year-old boy who was found with life-threatening injuries on the underpass of Ovingdean Gap, having fallen from the cliff above, has sadly died in hospital on Tuesday," a spokesperson for the Sussex police said. "Members of the public carried out first aid on the boy before he was taken to the Royal Sussex county hospital, Brighton, just after 6 p.m. He later died there of his injuries. The death is being dealt with by the coroner’s officer."
Arthur and his twin brother Earl Cave both appeared in 20,000 Days on Earth, a quasi-********ary that follows the Bad Seeds singer over the course of a day. The semi-fictional film mixes "both fact and fiction," Cave told Rolling Stone.
"It’s not like playing a character," Cave said of playing "himself" in the movie. "That’s a thread through the film – any idea that there is a character and a real person no longer applies. After years of performing, the mask calcifies under the face."
