Lindsay Lohan Attempts to Do Community Service From Home

There are lots of jobs out there you can do from home. Serving Community Service hours is not one of them, as Lindsay Lohan has learned.
The star ambitiously attempted to serve out her remaining hours of court-ordered Community Service from the comfort of her own living room, according to court ********s.

Lohan was charged with three misdemeanors in 2024 stemming from a 2024 reckless driving incident in Santa Monica, Calif. with her Porsche. She was sentenced to 240 hours of Community service. On Friday, a judge said she had to serve the remaining hours of her sentence by May 28.
She was sentenced to do an additional 125 hours as part of her probation in February, and the judge said thus far she has completed less than 10. According to court ********s, Lohan said she had fulfilled some of the work from her London apartment, where she made Facebook posts for a local charity. (Lohan wrapped her two-month stint across the pond in November.)
The judge decreed that her Community Service hours could not be completed virtually, so posting photos to social media from her flat did not count.
The actress was given those additional hours earlier this year after the judge decided the ********ation she submitted for her original 240 hours of Community Service was not entirely valid — for instance, the time she claimed attending a meet-and-greet with her fans in London counted toward the total.
(Also in her original 240 hours: A stint working at the Los Angeles County morgue, where she says she handled Whitney Houston’s **** bag!)
The judge declined a request to extend the deadline for completing the additional hours.
"She’s had three years to take care of this. If it’s not done by May 28, there Will be consequences," Judge Mark A. Young said, according to the New York Daily News.

Lindsay Lohan has been ordered to complete another 125 hours of Community Service for a reckless driving charge – after she tried to pass off time on stage in London as volunteering.
The 28-year-old actress had previously been ordered to perform 240 hours of Community Service as part of a plea deal she struck after her Porsche rear-ended a truck in California in 2024.
But while appearing in the West End production ‘Speed The Plow’ last year, she let young people ‘shadow’ her and logged it as Community hours.
The court ‘had a problem with some of the work shadowing,’ Lohan’s attorney, Shawn Holley, told the Los Angeles Times. ‘They didn’t want to hear more about how that played out.’

The ruling means that rather than finish her probation in March as planned, Lohan faces another three months of Community Service – but her attorney said she has no problem with it.
‘She’s enjoying doing Community service,’ Holley told the LA Times. ‘Her passion is really working with kids… and kids really respond to her.’
The judge made the decision in private and a hearing Will now be held on March 12 to decide how the actress is to complete her Community service.
After Lohan had been ordered to carry out 240 hours of court-ordered Community service, she vowed to complete it at the London-based charity Community Service Volunteers (CSV).
But according to tmz, prosecutor Terry White examined the hours she spent at the organisation and had planned to tell the judge she had violated her probation.

On one occasion, the actress was given six hours credit but two of those hours were for a matinee performance of Speed The Plow, a further two were for an evening performance while two more hours were taken up with a meet-and-greet event afterwards, White reportedly found.
Miss Lohan arrived in London last autumn to star in a West End production of David Mamet’s play, the movie business satire Speed The Plow. She played a forthright secretary in the production at London’s Playhouse Theatre.
Mr White told The Mail on Sunday that a prison sentence would not be ruled out for Miss Lohan if she is found in breach of her probation terms.
On Sunday, CSV chief executive Oonagh Aitken said the organisation took its ‘responsibilities in relation to all kinds of volunteering with great seriousness’.

Judge Mark Young’s decision Wednesday means the actress Will not be able to put a period to her probation in March but Will have it extended for another three months so she has time to complete the extra 125 hours.
Lohan was ordered to perform 240 hours of Community Service as part of a plea deal she made after she was convicted in 2024 of reckless driving. Her Porsche rear-ended a truck on Pacific Coast Highway, and Lohan denied after the accident that she was behind the wheel.
The decision was made behind closed doors, and the judge made a brief announcement in court following his decision. A proceeding Will be held March 12 to decide how Lohan can complete the Community Service in an acceptable way.

Holley said Wednesday her client "doesn’t have a problem" with the added Community Service hours.
"She’s enjoying doing Community service," Holley said. "Her passion is really working with kids … and kids really respond to her."
In March 2024, Lohan made a plea deal that included 90 days in a rehabilitation facility and 18 months in psychotherapy. She had faced one misdemeanor count each of reckless driving, providing ***** information to a police officer and willfully resisting, obstructing or delaying an officer.

No matter how much Community Service she had on her plate, Lindsay Lohan still saved some time to party.
The 28-year-old actress was spotted out on-the-town in the West Village of New York City on Thursday night, just hours after completing her second day of mandated work at a children’s centre.
Lindsay reportedly has more than 100 hours of Community Service left to complete by the end of the month.

Assigned to work at the Duffield Children’s Center in the Fort Greene section of Brooklyn, New York, Lindsay first reported for duty on Wednesday.
According to a report from TMZ, the Mean Girls actress will need to work over seven hours daily in order to make her community-service deadline at the end of May.
Lindsay has thus far stuck to office and administrative work at the centre, but early childhood education director Ivonne Lopez said that she would eventually ‘have an opportunity to engage with the children.’
