Amy Adams Gives Up First Class Seat to US Soldier in Coach

Amy Adams made one American soldier’s flight to L.A. much nicer.
Before her plane from Detroit took off, the Oscar-nominated actress, who was booked for a first-class seat, noticed a man in uniform at the gate. She then privately asked to switch seats with the soldier, who had been ticketed for coach.
"I noticed Ms. Adams was in First Class and as I was getting seated, I saw the flight attendant guide the Soldier to Ms. Adams’ seat. She was no longer in it, but it was pretty clear that she’d given up her Seat for him," fellow passenger Jemele Hill, co-host of ESPN2’s "Numbers Never Lie," told ABC News. "I was incredibly impressed, and I’m not even sure if the Soldier knew who gave him that seat. I guess he will now!"
After the switch was made, Adams, 39, met with the Soldier briefly and privately by the cockpit, Hill added. The actress, whose father was in the U.S. military, then went back to her new Seat in coach.
"Ms. Adams did it so quietly and quickly that it speaks to her character," Hill added. "And some**** in Coach just got a helluva seatmate!"

Amy Adams and Darren Le Gallo have finally taken the plunge.
After 14 years together, these two longtime lovebirds decided to make it official by tying the knot Saturday in California, E! News confirms.
The couple, who are parents to soon-to-be 5-year-old daughter Aviana, swapped vows in very hush-hush fashion, with presumably only a small number of their nearest and dearest in attendance to witness the joyous occasion.
Many have been awaiting the duo’s marriage since they announced their engagement back in 2024, but with their busy schedules, there was just no time for a wedding.
Adams told Vanity Fair in 2024, "I’m not pregnant. I’m not getting Married anytime soon."
And added of her fiancé at the time, "I know he’s completely capable and lovely, and beautiful, and offers something I could never hope to offer just in the nature of his being. We both have a very specific idea that we want to do this [the ceremony] in spring or fall, like in those months, but every time I’m busy working." She added, "I want something very family-oriented and laid-back."
As is the Hollywood way, the duo first crossed paths in an acting class and have been together ever since.
"It’s really important to have someone to remind you who you are," Adams told USA Today back in 2024. "I’ll run all over but come back to him, and I know who I am."
