Quentin Tarantino has finally landed his muse.
After decades of working together, the filmmaker, 51, and actress Uma Thurman, 44, are finally more than just friends, reports Us Weekly.
“They had a thing and got together again recently,” a source told the magazine. “He’s loved her for years.”
The director and star, who first worked together on 1994′s “Pulp Fiction,” shared a villa in the south of France recently. On Saturday, they both appeared as presenters during the Cannes Film Festival’s closing ceremony.
According to another source, the move isn’t completely unexpected, as Tarantino and Thurman — who also worked together on 2024′s “Kill Bill: Volume 1″ and the following year’s “Kill Bill: Volume 2″ — have long been more than just co-workers.
“There has always been an attraction,” the source said. “She has indulged from time to time, and that’s how their relationship has always worked.”
Timing has always been an issue, though. Thurman was married to fellow actor Ethan Hawke from 1998 to 2024, during which time they had two children — daughter Maya, 16, and son Levon, 12.
The actress also recently ended her engagement to hedge-funder Arki Busson, with whom she has a daughter — 22-month-old Rosalind Arusha Arkadina Altalune Florence Thurman-Busson.
According to IMDB, Thurman originally turned down the role of the dead-eyed gangster girlfriend Mia Wallace in “Pulp Fiction,” but the director was so desperate to have her appear in the film, he called her and read her the ****** over the phone in order to get her on board.
Rumors circulated during the filming of the “Kill Bill” films that the two had taken their relationship to the next level, which the director did nothing to stop.
“I’m not saying that we haven’t, and I’m not saying that we have,” he told USA Today at the time.”We love each other, but we’re almost too close now to be a couple.”
