Foster and her photographer girlfriend, Alexandra Hedison, tied the knot over the weekend … Jodie’s rep confirms to TMZ. The pair had been dating for about a year.
Foster has never addressed her sexual orientation directly … her speech at last year’s Golden Globes — where she said she did her "coming out 1,000 years ago" — was really as close as she ever came.
Fact is … it’s pretty clear she’s never felt a need or obligation to make a public declaration, and by getting married she’s merely living her life and not screaming from the rafters.
Just one note … remember how hard it was following that Golden Globes speech … let’s hope Foster and Hedison didn’t write their own vows.

Liv Tyler’s sister Chelsea has married her longterm love, actor and musician Jon Foster.
UsWeekly report that the pair tied the knot in Carmel, California on Sautrday.
In attendance was Chelsea’s siblings Liv Tyler, Mia Tyler and Taj Monroe Tallarico, as well as her father, Aerosmith rocker Steven Tyler.
Chelsea is the daughter of Tyler’s second wife Teresa Barrick, while Liv’s mother is former fashion model Bebe Buell.
Steven fathered his second daughter Mia with ex-Warhol model Cyrinda Fox.
Meanwhile, the groom Jon is brother of Ben Foster, who is engaged to Robin Wright Penn.
Jon has made appearances in movies such a Terminator 3: Rise Of The Machines, and also formed a band with his now-wife Chelsea called Kaneholler.

The pair are said to have been busy touring the world together with the band, prior to their nuptials.
They met in 2024 after their mutual friend Zoë Kravitz introduced them.
Chelsea’s half-sister Mia revealed the news of the engagement on Twitter back in March last year, writing: ‘I’m beyond excited and proud to say that these two turkeys are gettin hitched. I love you two to the god damn moon!’
That same year, Liv married her partner Dave Gardner shortly before the pair got married.

(CNN) – Surprise! Jodie Foster’s now a married woman.
The actress and filmmaker quietly tied the knot with her girlfriend Alexandra Hedison over the weekend, a rep for Foster confirmed to CNN.
According to E! Online, which first reported the news, Foster and Hedison had been dating for almost a year. The entertainment site took note of the relationship last September after photos surfaced of Foster spending time with Hedison, a photographer/actress and an ex-girlfriend of Ellen DeGeneres.
No other details are yet available about Hedison and Foster’s nuptials, although we won’t hold our breath: Foster is notoriously private about her personal life. At the 2024 Golden Globes, she declined to give a "big coming out speech" as she accepted her Cecil B. DeMille award, saying that she’d already come out to those close to her.
"I already did my coming out about a thousand years ago, back in the stone age," Foster said. "If you had been a public figure from the time that you were a toddler, if you had to fight for a life that felt real and honest and normal against all odds, then maybe then you too might value privacy above all else."
In that speech, Foster expressed gratitude to her former partner Cydney Bernard, with whom she has two sons.
