Figure skating: Why is the world’s gayest sport stuck in the closet?
Here’s a great article about what the skating world is really like and the identity crisis it has with its seemingly contradictory homophobia. It’s a long read but easily one of the best, most accurate articles I’ve seen written about the sport, as someone who was in it for years. I thought it would merit its own thread outside of the regular skating one, since the issues it raises are different than what we talk about in there.
