Oprah Winfrey to Embark on Eight-City ‘Empowerment’ Tour

Oprah Winfrey is heading for your hometown.

The media mogul, 60, will Embark on an Eight-City "The Life You Want" Tour in September for conferences focusing on empowerment, resilience and authenticity.

But a visit from Oprah won’t come cheap. Tickets start at $99 and go all the way up to $999 for the VIP package that includes a meet-and-greet with Winfrey, herself.

"It’s about living the life you want, because a great percentage of the population is living a life that their mother wanted, that their husband wanted, that they thought or heard they wanted," Winfrey explained to The Hollywood Reporter.

Venues in participating cities – Atlanta; Auburn Hills, Mich.; Houston; Miami; Newark, N.J.; Seattle; San Jose, Calif.; and Washington – are expected to fill 18,000 seats. Tickets can be purchased starting April 7 on Oprah’s ***site.

Winfrey will lead the discussion on Friday, followed by a selection of hand-picked speakers on Saturday, including Eat Pray Love author Elizabeth Gilbert, pastor Rob Bell, OWN star Iyanla Vanzant, and, depending on the city, spiritual guru Deepak Chopra.

‘Magic Mike XXL’ screening: For a surprising screening of the movie, Jada wore a dress which at first I thought was from the Balmain Pre-Fall 2024 collection. On closer inspection the dress possessed both the style and devoré fabric, but it appears to be a clever imitation.
Magic Mike XXL Cast Honored With Stars On The Official Miami Walk Of Fame: For Jada’s third look of the day she wore an Ermanno Scervino Fall2020 dress. This was quite easily my favourite for its summery vibe and for showcasing a softer, more feminine side to Jada’s style. The look was perfectly polished off with Alaia sandals.

A Philadelphia man has been charged with stabbing a member of Nikki Minaj’s tour crew to death during an argument over a barmaid.
Pierce Boykin was charged with the murder of 29-year-old De’Von Pickett on Tuesday, Homicide Captain James Clark confirmed.
Pickett – who was Minaj’s tour manager – was stabbed to death in the early hours of Wednesday, February 18, outside a bar in Philadelphia.

He and the rest of the crew had just arrived in the city to rehearse for Minaj’s tour, which is supposed to begin in Europe this month.
Fellow crew member Eric Parker, 27, was also stabbed in the attack, but was expected to survive his injuries.

Boykin, 31, was originally charged with attempted murder of Parker, but Clark says the murder charge was tacked on after additional evidence pointed to Boykin for both stabbings.
According to NBC 10, the argument began inside Che Bar & Grill in Philadelphia’s West Oak Lane neighborhood.
‘We believe that both of the victims, as well as the perpetrator, were all inside of this bar and that’s when an argument started,’ said Chief inspector Scott Small.
Boykin is in custody, and an attorney for him could not be reached to comment on the charges.
