Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent Expecting a Baby Via Surrogate!
Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent are starting a family!
The couple made the announcement via their respective Facebook pages Wednesday. "Wanted to share some exciting news…" Berkus, 43, and Brent, 29, told their fans. "We have had the most special year and it’s JUST become even more beautiful. We are happy to announce that we are Expecting our first child!"
They added, "While we can’t share much, we can say that thanks to a Surrogate and the support of those we love we will officially be a family in the spring of2020!"
The American Dream Builders host and Rachel Zoe‘s former assistant got married in May at the New York Public Library. Celebrity guests included Oprah Winfrey, Rachael Ray and Busy Philipps. Berkus proposed in the spring of 2024 during a trip to Machu Picchu. "I fell apart like full ugly-girl kind of cry," Brent later told E! News. "I mean, my kids are screwed. They are going to say, ‘Dad proposed to dad in Peru. What are you going to do for your significant other?’"
Prior to their wedding, Brent said they were excited by the prospect of parenthood.
"One thing at a time, but Nate will be the best dad," the designer and TV personality said on the set of E!’s The Fabulist. "I want like a soccer team. Unfortunately, it’s not as easy for us like conventional couples as you can imagine. We both want kids. I would have five if I could, but we will probably have two."
