© Carsten Rehder/DPA The 1943 Nazi tank was discovered in the basement of a house in the suburbs of Kiel.

Police searching in a villa in a wealthy German suburb have found a Second World War tank, a torpedo and other illegal weaponry in the basement.

The police found the huge wartime haul in the town of Heikendorf, a suburb of Kiel. The search was ordered by Kiel prosecutors, who suspected that the owner’s collection was breaking a law which controls the possession of weapons of war.

The Kiel officials were tipped off by Berlin prosecutors, who had searched the villa a month earlier for stolen Nazi art, The Local reported.

Along with the 1943 Panther tank, a torpedo and assorted other weaponry not specified by the police was found.

The hoard was found on Wednesday, but by Thursday, police were still working to remove the 45 tonne, 22 foot tank from the property, using another tank designed to haul disabled tanks off the battlefield.

The Süddeutsche Zeitung reported that the villa owner’s lawyer claimed that the tank could no longer fire its weapons and thus was not breaking any law.

The Zeitung also spoke to the mayor of the small suburb of Heikendorf, Alexander Orth, who was not surprised by the discovery of military hardware.

"He was chugging around in that thing during the snow catastrophe in 1978", the mayor said.

As well as laws against owning weapons of war, it is illegal to collect or trade in Nazi memorabilia in Germany unless it is for scholarly or museum purposes.

However, there is no evidence that the man has broken this law.

Donald Trump’s hair discovered crawling in Amazon

Donald Trump’s hair discovered crawling in Amazon

No, Donald Trump doesn’t put his hair on a big leaf when he goes to bed. This crazy, hairpiece-looking clump of yellow fluff is actually a rare caterpillar that only looks like Donald Trump’s hair.

خليجيةAnd for that reason, this flannel moth caterpillar photographed in the Amazon has been nicknamed the Donald Trump Caterpillar.
It was spotted and photographed recently by Phil Torres of Posada Amazonas Rainforest Expeditions while leading a photography tour in a Peru rainforest. He posted the photo online and immediately people began commenting about how it looks like Donald Trump’s hair.
“We didn’t see the resemblance when we first saw the caterpillar, but looking at the photo, it’s certainly similar to his hair,” Torres told the UK Daily Mail. “It was pretty funny, people went mad for the photo comparing it to his toupee.”
Interestingly, and coincidentally, approaching the Donald Trump Caterpillar (scientific name: Megalopyge opercularis) can be very dangerous, particularly if you come in contact with the business end of its yellow mane.
“If you touch that thing, it would seriously hurt,” Torres, a field biologist, told the UK Daily Mail. “It has these little hairs that can poke into your skin and release a venom.”
Just like the real Donald Trump. How uncanny!

800 Dead Babies Discovered in Septic Tank Of Home for Unwed Mothers

800 Dead Babies Discovered in Septic Tank Of Home for Unwed Mothers

Police are investigating the discovery of 800 long-dead Babies found in the Septic Tank at a Home for Unwed Mothers in western Ireland. The Home (that is its actual **** and, yes, it does sound freakishly ominous) housed thousands of pregnant and Unwed — "fallen"— women between 1925 and 1961. The women left after they’d paid for their stay in indentured servitude. Their children, reports The Washington Post, may not have been so lucky.
A housing development and playground now stand on the land where The Home once stood. And while many would like to forget the horrible things that went on there, the discovery of the 800 infants (and possibly more, once excavation starts) is dredging up many memories for the locals.
"The bones are still there," local historian Catherine Corless, who uncovered the origins of the mass grave in a batch of never-before-released ********s, told The Washington Post in a phone interview. "The children who died in the Home, this was them."
"When daughters became pregnant, they were ostracized completely," Corless said. "Families would be afraid of neighbors finding out, because to get pregnant out of marriage was the worst thing on Earth. It was the worst crime a woman could commit, even though a lot of the time it had been because of a rape."
There were many reasons children died at The Home. According to Corless, children died regularly of malnutrition and neglect. Others died "of measles, convulsions, TB, gastroenteritis and pneumonia." The survival rates of children at The Home were awful, and even if a child did survive, their existence was a painful one. Corless told The Washington Post that her research into The Home is a way to make amends for some of the ways the "Home Babies" were treated by their teachers and their classmates.
"If you acted up in class, some nuns would threaten to seat you next to the Home Babies," she said. She said she recalled one instance in which an older schoolgirl wrapped a tiny stone in a bright candy wrapper and gave it to a Home Baby as a gift.
"When the child opened it, she saw she’d been fooled," Corless told Irish Central. "Of course, I copied her later and I tried to play the joke on another little Home girl. I thought it was funny at the time…. Years after, I asked myself what did I do to that poor little girl that never saw a sweet? That has stuck with me all my life. A part of me wants to make up to them."
Still, even Corless doesn’t understand how the "Home Babies" who sometimes died at a rate of two per week were given such an awful end, stuffed into a Septic Tank and then left to be forgotten. Corless remembers that a group of teenagers stumbled upon the mass grave in 1995, and the pit they discovered, full to overflowing with skulls and limbs, gives them nightmares to this day.
Locals who want to forget the whole grisly business will have a much harder time now that police are involved.
"God knows who else is in the grave," one anonymous source told the Daily Mail. "It’s been lying there for years, and no one knows the full extent of the total of bodies down there."

This is something else! A previously unknown metropolis has been unearthed in Turkey. It was Discovered during an urban development project started by Turkey’s Housing Development Administration in the Nevsehir province of Central Anatolia. The metropolis is a 7 kilometer span of tunnels, chambers, and escape galleries.

The upper levels of the complex were first seen in 2024, but the full size of the metropolis wouldn’t be Discovered until 2024. About $35 million was invested into this project, but after the discovery, construction was halted and the area was registered with Turkey’s Cultural National Heritage Preservation Board, making sure this piece of history is protected forever.

“It is not a known Underground city. Tunnel passages of seven kilometers are being discussed. We stopped the construction we were planning to do on these areas when an Underground City was discovered,” said TOKİ Head Mehmet Ergün Turan.

Not much has been revealed about the Underground tunnels. It does consist of various rooms, tunnels, hidden churches, and contains numerous artifacts that date back as far as 5,000 years. It may also be the world’s largest Underground city
