Richard Simmons
is still MIA … nearly a year after he was last seen, and there are no signs of XMAS or even life at his home.

His friends are more worried than ever. They haven’t heard from or seen him since January 11. He hasn’t been to his exercise studio in 6 months.

There are no XMAS decorations at his Hollywood Hills house. Friends are not allowed to visit. A housekeeper seems to stand guard whenever anyone tries to enter.

Simmons’ rep told us the exercise guru was depressed over a knee injury and that’s why he has gone radio silent, but his friends are convinced it is far more serious. They say Richard was the ultimate caring person who loved interaction, and now there is none whatsoever.

A cat that vanished three years ago during Japan’s 2024 tsunami disaster has been unexpectedly reunited with its owners.

The black cat, called Suika, was thought to have died after disappearing on March 11, 2024 – the day of the earthquake and tsunami – from his home in Ofunato, Iwate prefecture.

Kazuko and Takeo Yamagishi, his owners, spent three months searching for the cat across the city, which was badly hit by the tsunami, before abandoning any hope that he may have survived the disaster.

However, in a rare happy twist more than three years on, the cat was recently spotted in a neighbouring town and taken to the authorities before the owners were tracked down via its collar information, according to Japanese media.

Although the owners are still unsure as to where the cat has been for the past three years, their joy was evident as they were reunited at Ofunato Health Centre.

“Where have you been,” Mrs Yamagishi, 64, asked the cat during an emotional reunion, according to the Asahi Shimbun. “It’s just like a dream.”

The cat, who was the family’s pet for 12 years, had reportedly been at home alone on the day of the disaster, with the house surviving destruction from the tsunami intact but no sign of its presence when the owners returned.

It was last month, more than three years later, that a couple spotted the cat in a pine forest in Rikuzentakata, a city also ravaged by the tsunami, around 9 miles from his home town, before being taken to the health centre.

An employee noticed the faded ****s of the owners and a phone number on the collar, before getting in touch and arranging this month’s reunion with their beloved pet, who was apparently in good health and wearing a new bell around his neck when found.

The couple’s daughter, 36, who lives in Tokyo, reportedly burst into tears of joy when she was told over the phone of the cat’s reappearance, Mrs Yamagashi told media.

Police: Lance Armstrong hit Parked Cars after partying in Aspen, blamed girlfriend

Police originally cited Armstrong’s girlfriend, Anna Hansen, after the Dec. 28 accident, but those citations were transferred to Armstrong on Jan. 12 after a police investigation raised doubts about Hansen’s account.

It’s not about the bike — it’s about the SUV and the Parked cars.
Disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong allegedly hit two Parked Cars after a night of partying in Aspen — and tried to put the rap on his Girlfriend to avoid negative press, the Aspen Daily News reported Tuesday.
Police in the Colorado ski town issued two Armstrong traffic citations last month for failing to report an accident and exceeding safe speed for conditions. Police originally cited Armstrong’s girlfriend, Anna Hansen, after the Dec. 28 accident, but those citations were transferred to Armstrong on Jan. 12 after a police investigation raised doubts about Hansen’s account.
Hansen allegedly lied when asked by police if Armstrong had been drinking.
An Aspen homeowner told authoriies on Dec. 29 that relatives’ rental Cars had been damaged in a hit-and-run accident the night before, according to a police report. Police later contacted Hansen after a community safety officer saw an SUV owned by Armstrong had suffered significant front-end damage.
Hansen met with police at the home she shares with Armstrong later that day, telling investigators that she drove the GMC home from an Aspen Art Museum party because her boyfriend had “a little bit to drink.”
The police issued the two citations to Hansen, who said she had not been drinking that night.
But her story fell apart after an investigator spoke to an employee of the valet company who worked the art museum event at the St. Regis Aspen Resort. The employee told police that he saw Armstrong enter the driver’s side of the vehicle and drive away from the hotel.
When an officer spoke again with Hansen and told her about the valet’s account, she said she told Armstrong to get in the passenger seat after a stop at a local market.
The Aspen homeowner who originally reported the accident also raised questions about Hansen’s version of events. The homeowner told police that Hansen got out of the car after the crash and assumed responsibility.
“She said, ‘I’m Anna, we’re the Armstrongs, my husband’s Lance, he was just driving too fast around the corner or something,’” the report said. Hansen later told police she did not know that she was required to report the accident.
But Hansen came clean after she was questioned again by police on Dec. 31, following their interviews with witnesses. She told an investigator that it was Armstrong who had been driving when the SUV hit the Parked cars.
Hansen said she and Armstrong agreed together that she should take responsibility.
“That was a joint decision,” she said. “You know we’ve had our family named smeared over every paper in the world in the last couple of years and honestly, I’ve got teen-agers, I just wanted to protect my family because I thought, ‘Gosh, Anna Hansen hit some cars, it’s not going to show up in the papers, but Lance Armstrong his some cars, it’s going to be a national story.’”
Hansen told police Armstrong was not intoxicated when he drove home from the St. Regis that night.
“He was not intoxicated, and that was um, you know, I’m sorry I lied to you that morning but I was trying to make (it) sound like, well, I was driving because that was, just, I don’t know … I was just trying to make something up at that time.”
Pitkin County deputy district attorney Andrea Bryan told the Aspen Daily Newsthat Hansen will not be charged with filing a ***** report because she came forward with the truth quickly and was cooperative with police.
“The policy of our office is to encourage all witnesses to tell the truth, and if witnesses lived in fear of being prosecuted for coming forward after making a mistake, we would rarely, if ever, get the full truth from our victims or witnesses," she said.
Armstrong is scheduled to appear in court on March 17. His lawyer, Denver attorney Pamela Mackey, told police that Armstrong did not want to speak to authorities about the incident.

An 89-year-old Second World War veteran told he could not attend today’s D-Day events in France went AWOL from his care home and was found 12 hours later in Normandy with comrades police have confirmed.

The un****d veteran decided to disregard his carers’ orders, put on his medals under his raincoat and set off to join events on the beaches of Northern France for the 70th anniversary of the landings.

After the alarm was raised at the care home in Hove, Sussex, police searched the area and checked hospitals and bus and taxi companies.

But the extent of the veteran’s resolve became clear on Thursday evening when police were informed by another veteran that the missing man had joined a coach party and made his way to Ouistreham.

Ch Supt Nev Kemp, police commander for Brighton and Hove, said the man was “reported missing to us by a care home who said he can’t go to Normandy for D-Day remembrance. We’ve found him there!”

A spokesman for Sussex police said: “We were called at 7.15pm yesterday (Thursday 5 June) by staff at a nursing home in Hove who said an 89-year-old who lived there had gone out at 10.30am that morning and had not been seen since.

“The nursing home received a phone call from a younger veteran from Brighton at 10.30pm who said he had met the Pensioner on a coach on the way to France and that they were safe and well in a hotel in Ouistreham.

“We have spoken to the veteran who called the home today and are satisfied that the Pensioner is fine and that his friends are going to ensure he gets back to Hove safely over the next couple of days after the D-Day celebrations finish.”

It’s not every day you see a sheep roaming free in a city with nearly half a million people. It’s even rarer — unprecedented, really — to see one dressed in an ugly Christmas sweater. But that’s exactly what Omaha animal control came across this weekend, and now the animal is all dressed up with nowhere to go but the Nebraska Humane Society.

The Humane Society is hoping to find the sheep’s owner via Facebook, where the organization announced, “If you’re missing a sheep that enjoys wearing Christmas sweaters he’s here at NHS.
