Sienna Miller gives away her Newfie for getting too big

God I fucking hate this bitch so much.

Sienna Miller gave away her Newfie dog Nana when she got too big: ugh?

Full confession: I only really like big dogs. I’ve never had a small dog and never really wanted to. My dog is a big Newfie mix, more than 100 pounds, and he resembles a bear cub. He’s a pain in my ass but I love him to pieces. So I was interested in hearing that Sienna Miller got a Newfie girl puppy a few years ago. She named the dog Nana and she was adorable as a puppy. Nana grew up to be a big hulk of a dog (go here to see a photo of Sienna with Nana), which is what happens when you get a Newfie puppy. But this growth apparently shocked Sienna, and she has given the dog up. Huh.

It was clearly difficult for Sienna Miller to resist Newfoundland puppy Nana when she was a tiny black bundle. But it seems the American Sniper actress failed to factor in the breed’s astonishing growth rate – they can weigh up to 9st and measure 6ft from nose to tail.

Now three years after bringing Nana home, the dog has been adopted by Sienna’s stepmother Kelly Hoppen, who owns a sprawling estate in the Cotswolds.

It’s a sensible move – Sienna, who has a two-year-old daughter, Marlowe, and another dog, Bess – previously admitted that on walks Nana ‘pulls me over flat on my face into the mud’.

[From The Daily Mail]

One side: she’s a total douchebag for not understanding that one day that adorable Newfie puppy would end up as a huge dog. I hate people who don’t understand the basics of dogs, or are like “Oh, I only wanted a small puppy, not a big dog.” Then don’t adopt a Newfie puppy!

The other side: my Newfie mix had a few years where he was bit crazy and temperamental and every dog is different. I could see where it could be a case of hoping Nana would be a gentle giant and Nana ending up being much more of a handful than expected. And Sienna prioritized her daughter ahead of Nana and found Nana a good home in the country, where she could run and be wild all the time.

Here’s a random Newfie.

Sad news: Cynthia Lennon, the late John Lennon‘s wife from 1962-1968, has died at age 75 from cancer. According to a rep, her sole child with the former Beatle — Julian Lennon — was with her at the time of her death.
Here’s the statement:
"Cynthia Lennon passed Away today at her home in Mallorca, Spain following a short but brave battle with cancer. Her son Julian Lennon was at her bedside throughout. The family are thankful for your prayers. Please respect their privacy at this difficult time."
Cynthia met John when she was 18. They married in 1962 when he was on the cusp of fame with the Beatles after she became pregnant with their only child, Julian Lennon, who was born in 1963. Their marriage was notoriously rocky, with Cynthia claiming her former husband struck her on one occasion.
"He was a very jealous young man at the time, and he had a lot of pain inside," she said in later years. "He wanted to trust me and he thought by seeing me dancing with a friend of his that I was being disloyal or messing around. So he smacked me, but that was the only time."
John divorced Cynthia in 1968 and married Yoko Ono in 1969, who he remained with until he was shot and killed in 1980. Cynthia wrote two books about their life together: A Twist of Lennon in 1980 and John in 2024.

Why Mrs Clooney is disappearing before our eyes: Amal and how scary-skinny is the new hallmark of success

By AMANDA PLATELL FOR THE DAILY MAIL

A year ago, no one outside illustrious legal circles knew the name Amal Alamuddin. Fewer still had an opinion about her clothes, figure, hair, handbag or shoes.
An internationally renowned human rights lawyer at the top of her career, her performance in court and her fine brain were all she was judged on.
Then she fell in love with an American film star called George Clooney.
A year on from their whirlwind engagement and wedding, this clever and thoughtful woman has been swept along by a tsunami of celebrity fascination, culminating in her being granted the ultimate ‘accolade’ of being referred to in glossy magazines as simply ‘Amal’.

It took Kylie, Beyonce and Posh decades to achieve that.

She’s continued working since becoming Mrs Clooney, representing Greece’s fight for the return of the Elgin Marbles

But there’s a sting in the tail. This week, Amal was on the cover of Grazia magazine under the headlines ‘Amal Under Pressure?’ and ‘Sudden Fame Taking Its Toll . . . Struggling To Be Mrs Clooney’.
It repeated earlier claims on U.S. website Radar Online that she weighed little over seven stone and was a ‘walking skeleton’.
U.S. Star magazine claimed there were ‘fears for scary-skinny Amal’.

Unpleasant, yes, but even Amal’s greatest admirers cannot ignore the fact she seems to be disappearing before our eyes.
Even on her wedding day, the white trouser suit she wore billowed in the wind to reveal a woman who had shrivelled in the half-year before she tied the knot to Mr Clooney.
Why? Amal is not a vacuous pop star nor some WAG whose entire existence depends on being photographed on red carpets with the correct circumference of thigh.
I fear she has become the victim of the invidious pressure most women in the public eye seem to be falling victim to these days: that the only way to be seen as truly successful is to not only be super-glamorous, but super-skinny, too.
After the honeymoon, she went back to work, not in a lawyer’s sensible suits, but in the expensive couture of a Hollywood A-lister.

Beau Biden passes away at 46

Beau Biden passes away at 46

Quote:
Joseph Robinette “Beau” Biden III, the son of Vice President Biden and former state attorney general of Delaware, died Saturday after battling brain cancer for several years.Biden, 46, the oldest son of the vice president and the rising star of a family dynasty, had been admitted recently to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Washington as he fought the cancer, a battle that his father largely kept private in the last weeks as his son clung to his life.

“The entire Biden family is saddened beyond words. We know that Beau’s spirit will live on in all of us—especially through his brave wife, Hallie, and two remarkable children, Natalie and Hunter,” Vice President Biden said in a statement that was released Saturday night.

Beau Biden, a major in the Delaware Army National Guard’s Judge Advocate General Corps, became one of his state’s most popular public figures and had been considered the frontrunner for the 2024 race to become the state’s next governor, but in August 2024 he checked into one of the world’s most renowned cancer treatment centers, Texas Medical Center, in Houston to begin his fight with the disease.
Biden is survived by his wife, Hallie, and two children.

He became a national political star in 2024 after delivering a stirring introduction of his father at the Democratic National Convention in Denver the night Joe Biden accepted the nomination as vice president, and a little more than a month later Beau Biden deployed to Iraq and served there for one year — except for a trip home in January 2024 to see his father take the oath of office as vice president.
In Denver seven years ago, Beau Biden told the tragic family story that became the emotional foundation for his father’s 36 years of service in the Senate and the past six-and-a-half years as vice president. Shortly after winning his Senate race, in December 1972, Joe Biden received a call while in Washington interviewing staff.

His wife, Neilla, and three children had been in a horrible car crash on the way home from purchasing the family Christmas tree. His wife and daughter had died, and his two sons, Beau and Hunter, were clinging to their life. Still a few days shy of turning 30, Biden raced home to Wilmington and considered never taking the oath of office.

Through the support of other senators, Biden agreed to be sworn in the next month, at the hospital bedside of Beau and Hunter. Eventually venturing to Washington, Biden decided that he would take the train every morning from Wilmington and return every night.

“As a single parent, he decided to be there to put us to bed, to be there when we woke from a bad dream, to make us breakfast, so he’d travel to and from Washington, four hours a day,” Beau Biden told the Denver crowd on Aug. 27, 2024, an emotional speech that introduced the world to a story that his father had told many times.

In recent weeks, the vice president’s public schedule had declined as he regularly visited his son. Two weeks ago, during Yale University’s graduation week, he delivered a deeply personal speech to thousands of students and parents who had no idea what the vice president was personally enduring.
Close advisers viewed it as the closest Joe Biden ever came to explaining how much his personal life and tragedy informed his own career. Of his venture home every night to see his two sons, he said it wasn’t for them.

“The real reason I went home every night was that I needed my children more than they needed me,” he said.

In July 2024, Kristen Stewart‘s love life exploded in the public eye when Us Weekly revealed exclusive photos of her affair with her Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders. Following the shocking incident, she issued a public apology, begging boyfriend Robert Pattinson to forgive her, and though they tried to work it out, the relationship eventually ended for good in spring 2024.

But after spending some time out of the spotlight since that split, the 23-year-old actress seems confident and unapologetic in the March 2024 issue of Marie Claire.

"I Stand by Every Mistake I’ve Ever Made, so Judge away," she declared in the magazine’s cover story.

And after a rough couple of years in the romance department, Stewart remains open-minded when it comes to the L-word.

خليجية

"You don’t know who you will fall in love with. You just don’t. You don’t control it," she said. "Some people have certain things, like, ‘That’s what I’m going for,’ and I have a subjective version of that. I don’t pressure myself…If you fall in love with someone, you want to own them — but really, why would you want that? You want them to be what you love. I’m much too young to even have an answer for that question."

The Twilight saga heroine has six films set to come out in the next two years, after taking a couple of years to focus on filming following the release of Breaking Dawn: Part 2 in November 2024.

“Dude, I have no idea what I’m doing, and that’s kind of how I love it," the former child star admitted of her future film career. "I had no idea Twilight was going to be huge. Certain movies I’ve done I thought were going to be amazing did nothing. So it’s fun not having so much control. It’s kind of a fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants lifestyle – it’s fun, but it’s scary as f**k. Unless you get that irking fear, it’s not right.”
