Drew Barrymore: "I Don’t Think I’m a Good Actor"

Drew Barrymore: "I Don’t Think I’m a Good Actor"

She’s been acting since age 3, hails from a long line of Hollywood legends, and has around 65 acting credits to her ****, but Drew Barrymore certainly doesn’t have a high opinion of her dramatic gifts. In a recent New York Times article about the TCM show The Essentials, which she co-hosts with Robert Osborne, the Golden Globe winner, 39, opened up about her career and mentors.
The pregnant-again star ****d her E.T. director and godfather Steven Spielberg as her top advisor throughout her career.
"Steven told me, ‘Don’t act your characters. Be your characters," Barrymore revealed. She became a breakout child star when she worked with Spielberg on the classic flick at age 6.
"I Don’t Think I’m a Good actor," continued Barrymore, who shares daughter Olive, 17 months, with husband Will Kopelman. "I feel like it’s fake and yucky and it doesn’t ring true. But if you research and you study and make it personal, you just become that person, and it’s your truth and everything else around you falls away. Then you’re telling the truth, it’s not lying, it’s not fake."

And the legendary director’s words of wisdom stuck with the Blended actress for the next 33 years.
"At 6, I guess I was comfortable and more humorous than I would have remembered now," she mused. "But once I got older and kept continuing acting, I Don’t know if I would have succeeded without that advice, because that’s the thing that saved me. I’m not an actor, I’m a pretender."

"I Wanna Marry Harry" on Fox

"I Wanna Marry Harry" on Fox

Quote:
Fox’s I Wanna Marry "Harry" looks absolutely ridiculous—and we’re already obsessed.
The new reality show is essentially Joe Millionaire, but with a Prince Harry look-alike instead of a fake millionaire. The premise: 12 American girls travel to a gorgeous English country house. "We’re at Downton Abbey," one of the contestants shrieks in the first look video below.
The ladies get their first glimpse at "Sir," that’s what they’re calling the fake Prince Harry, whose real **** is Matt Hicks, when he arrives by helicopter. He’s quickly rushed away, leaving the ladies to speculate as to whom this playboy really is.

A masquerade ball follows and the 12 contestants meet the "prince" for the first time. "One woman is scary enough, you put 12 in front and it’s just absolutely terrifying," "Sir" says in the sneak peek.
Look for "out of this world" dates. Lots of James Bond-esque romance with casino nights, private beaches, boats, hot tubs and polo, of course.
I Wanna Marry "Harry" premieres Tuesday, May 27, at 8 p.m. on—where else?—Fox.

The trailer is hilarious. I can’t believe they found 12 women stupid enough to fall for this.

Kate Hudson: "I Want Girls To Love Themselves"

Kate Hudson slammed past eating disorder rumors in the October 2024 issue of the U.K.’S Red magazine. The Something Borrowed actress, who stuns on the cover in a black and gold dress, stressed her desire to be a good role model to young women, saying she wants to promote **** confidence.
"If there is one thing I will never have, it is an eating disorder," the mom of two told the mag. "I won’t have Girls — even if it is just one or two who care — thinking that. Because it is a serious sickness, not something to plaster on the cover of a magazine. And I am the opposite."

Goldie Hawn
‘s daughter also addressed how, after gaining 70 pounds during her first pregnancy, she realizes how important it is to feel loved.

"I Want Girls to Love themselves," the 35-year-old said. "I Want them to feel good about who they are…The thing is, I’m lucky because I was loved [during that time]. But I have seen so many young women who can’t feel good about themselves because they just don’t have that love."
One thing that does weigh the actress down is her engagement ring from rocker Matthew Bellamy — because it’s huge! "[I’m not wearing my engagement ring] because it can be…a little much. I like to wear my push gift [another ring] for pushing out Bing," she admitted.

When it comes to marrying Bellamy, whom she’s been engaged to since 2024, Hudson told the mag she’s "not in a rush."
"We are basically married," she added. "It’s really about when are we going to take the time to plan a wedding."

Kristen Stewart: "I Stand By Every Mistake I’ve Ever Made, So Judge Away," "You Don’t Know Who You Will Fall in Love With"

In July 2024, Kristen Stewart‘s love life exploded in the public eye when Us Weekly revealed exclusive photos of her affair with her Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders. Following the shocking incident, she issued a public apology, begging boyfriend Robert Pattinson to forgive her, and though they tried to work it out, the relationship eventually ended for good in spring 2024.

But after spending some time out of the spotlight since that split, the 23-year-old actress seems confident and unapologetic in the March 2024 issue of Marie Claire.

"I Stand by Every Mistake I’ve Ever Made, so Judge away," she declared in the magazine’s cover story.

And after a rough couple of years in the romance department, Stewart remains open-minded when it comes to the L-word.

"You don’t know who you will fall in love with. You just don’t. You don’t control it," she said. "Some people have certain things, like, ‘That’s what I’m going for,’ and I have a subjective version of that. I don’t pressure myself…If you fall in love with someone, you want to own them — but really, why would you want that? You want them to be what you love. I’m much too young to even have an answer for that question."

The Twilight saga heroine has six films set to come out in the next two years, after taking a couple of years to focus on filming following the release of Breaking Dawn: Part 2 in November 2024.

“Dude, I have no idea what I’m doing, and that’s kind of how I love it," the former child star admitted of her future film career. "I had no idea Twilight was going to be huge. Certain movies I’ve done I thought were going to be amazing did nothing. So it’s fun not having so much control. It’s kind of a fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants lifestyle – it’s fun, but it’s scary as f**k. Unless you get that irking fear, it’s not right.”
