Judge Finds Oscar Pistorius NOT GUILTY Killing Of Girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp

Oscar Pistorius was found not GUILTY of premeditated murder, and murder, in the Feb. 14, 2024 shooting death of his Girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp by Judge Thokozile Matilda Masipa in South Africa’s Pretoria Court Thursday.
Masipa said that prosecutors failed to provide “enough facts” to prove, beyond a reasonable doubt, that the paralympian, 27, had intentionally shot the model/reality star.
She said that culpable homicide — indicating the slaying was one of negligence — “is a competent verdict,” though did not formally declare her decision. (A culpable homicide conviction could still lead to years of incarceration.)

The double-amputee, Masipa said, likely thought Steenkamp was in his bedroom when he shot at the bathroom door, believing an intruder was on the other end.

The “court is satisfied that at the relevant time, the accused could distinguish between right and wrong,” she said.
Prosecutors didn’t prove Pistorius acted with an intent to kill in the deadly incident, the Judge said, also cutting down much of the testimony delivered in the case, saying that the media frenzy hovering over the proceedings contaminated recollections from the 37 witnesses who took the stand.

“Technology is more reliable than human perception and human memory,” she said.

In one highly-scrutinized detail in the case, Masipa said she believed that high-pitched screams witnesses heard did indeed come from Pistorius, not Steenkamp.
“None of the witnesses had ever heard the accused cry or scream, let alone when he was anxious,” the Judge said. “I continue to explain why most witnesses got their facts wrong.”

Masipa brushed off **** messages the prosecution presented as evidence of the couple’s volatile interactions, saying that “normal relationships are dynamic and unpredictable most of the time, while human beings are fickle.”
The 29-year-old model’s parents Barry and June Steenkamp were in the court Thursday, as were many of Pistorius’ relatives. As he did many times during the actual trial, Pistorius wept during the judge’s speech.

Lena Dunham has often been a victim to media fodder, but it appears she, too, can’t help herself when it comes to keeping up with the latest gossip.
In the October issue of O magazine, the 28-year-old Girls actress admits that Celebrity Gossip websites are her top Guilty pleasure.
‘I know that by reading them I’m supporting an industry that hurts people who are making art and putting themselves on the line,’ she said. ‘Still, all I want to know is who is breaking up with whom and who might be pregnant.’
The star poses in a short red dress and blue and white striped heels in the magazine, sitting backwards in a director’s chair that says ‘Lena’.

Her hair, which had not yet been bleached blonde at the time of the shoot, is styled in a cute brunette pixie cut, and her eyes rimmed in dark kohl eyeliner.

In the interview, Lena also reveals which of her many tattoos is her favorite, and why.

Lena, who has been dating Fun lead guitarist Jack Antonoff since 2024, says she heeds the advice of her mentors when it comes to dealing with the press.

‘She inspired me to decide that I’m never going to be the person who lets emails and voice mails sit for weeks – I’m going to be the person who responds, even if the answer is no.’‘Jane Rosenthal from Tribeca Films once told me, "Let them say whatever they want about you, but don’t let them say you didn’t answer their phone call,"’ she revealed.
Lena has had quite the busy schedule of late, from filming the fourth season of Girls to writing and publishing her memoir, Not That Kind of Girl, which will hit stores on September 30.
And luckily, when she needs a break, she has the uncanny ability to take one – pretty much anywhere.
‘I can fall asleep anytime, anyplace,’ she told O.
‘I’ve taken satisfying naps in a chair on set and on a park bench. I’m notorious in my family for having slept through a fire at our house when I was five.
‘The fire department came, and I missed it all.’

Justin Bieber has been Found Guilty after he was charged with Assault and Careless Driving in Ontario, Canada, last September.
According to Ontario Provincial Police, the troublemaking 21-year-old singer was involved in an ATV and minivan accident that ended in a fight between Bieber and the other driver.
RadarOnline.com can reveal that Bieber was lucky after a judge granted the singer an absolute discharge on the Assault charge today, meaning no further justice will be pursued since it is considered a minor offense by the court.

However, Bieber has been ordered to pay a relatively paltry $750 fine for Careless driving.

At the time of the incident, Bieber’s lawyer, Brian Greenspan, attempted to explain away his client’s bad behavior.
“Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez’ peaceful retreat in Stratford this weekend was unfortunately disrupted by the unwelcome presence of paparazzi,” the attorney claimed. “This has regrettably resulted in charges of dangerous Driving and assault. Mr. Bieber and Ms. Gomez have fully cooperated in the police investigation.”

And from the look of her slender **** you would never guess that Ivanka Trump had welcomed her second child into the world just six months ago.
Now the model, businesswoman, entrepreneur and TV star has shared her secrets for keeping in shape and balancing her busy life in an interview for the May edition of Shape magazine.
The 32-year-old daughter of Donald and Ivana Trump admitted: ‘I ate like a teenager. Carbs three meals a day, usually in the form of pizza or pasta.’
But that began to change when she was expecting Arabella, who will be three in July.
The Celebrity Apprentice judge forced herself to eat more lean protein such as chicken and fish.
‘Slowly, I started to actually enjoy, if not crave these healthier options. Now healthy eating is the norm for me.
‘I love making vegetable, pea and broccoli soups. They’re pure, low calorie and incredibly tasty.’
All this healthy food works.
And it helped her lose the 40lbs she put on with her daughter, and the 30lbs she later put on with her son, Joseph, who was born in October.

Busy Ivanka told the magazine: ‘When I was in my 20s, I felt guilty if I didn’t exercise – now I feel guilty if I do. It’s time I could be spending with my family.’

‘We’re modern women! We have to figure out how to make it work, right?’

Dante Servin, the Chicago police detective who was off-duty on the March 2024 night that he shot and Killed 22-year-old Rekia Boyd with an unregistered firearm, was cleared on Monday of all charges. Servin fired over his shoulder, from his car, with a 9mm semi-automatic, into an alley where Boyd and her friends were walking, unarmed, with their backs turned to him. He hit Boyd in the back of her head and Killed her.
Servin maintains—and the judge ruled—that he was justified: that Boyd’s boyfriend Antonio Cross raised a cell phone that seemed, at the time, to be a gun. Servin has insisted that he did this out of fear, and “felt threatened” after telling Boyd and her three friends to quiet down.

In the video taken after he left the courtroom, Servin, without making eye contact with the camera, goes on some absolutely chilling shit: “Any police officer especially would have reacted in the exact same way I reacted,” he says. “I’m glad to be alive. I saved my life that night.”

Rekia Boyd’s mother, giving her statement, disagrees: “They just Found this man not Guilty on all counts, and he blew my daughter’s brains out in the alley,” she says.
That night, Boyd and her friends had been at a nearby party, which had prompted Servin to call 911 out of what was in essence a noise complaint. “It’s out of control,” he said, according to DNAInfo. “There’s 2, 300 people there and I’m afraid that something bad is going to happen.” Yes, indeed—maybe like someone getting murdered for no reason by a man loitering with an unregistered semi-automatic! Ikca Beamon, who was with Boyd on that night, has told the subsequent events like this:

The group started to discuss how everyone was getting home. That’s when Servin approached, Beamon said.
He pulled up to the foursome as they passed an alley near Albany Avenue and 15th Street, and said, “You all need to cool it with all that f—-ing noise,” according to Beamon.
She testified that Cross and the other man assumed Servin was looking to buy drugs and dismissed him. An exchange of words followed, and one of the men said “f—- you” to Servin several times.

Since that night, Servin has remained on the police force—his only punishment being that he was consigned to desk duty. Now he has been cleared of involuntary manslaughter, reckless conduct, and reckless discharge of a firearm.
He said, on Monday, “I also explained to the family that if this is what they needed for closure—for me to be charged—I hope they got what they were looking for.”

What a remarkably cold thing to say. Protestors are marching in Chicago; yesterday, they yelled, “There’s a Mike Brown in every town.” Cowardice is deadly, but not for the cowards themselves.

In 2024, Stanley Tucci lost his wife of 14 years, Kathryn, to breast cancer. He moved on in 2024 when he met Felicity Blunt, the sister of his The Devil Wears Prada co-star Emily Blunt, but the actor has admitted that Kathryn’s death still affects his second marriage.
"It was very hard to go on vacations at first, really hard to go with Felicity someplace," he told the Times.
