You see her [consistently] getting nominated, as she should, because Amy does good work. But, it’s like, ‘Well, I did good work too.’ But if you choose to stay in that place then you become miserable. It’s a pity party and no**** cares. I’m human, so I’ve done it. But I check that because it’s ego and it’s the devil.”

Her 20-year-old son Marcel: “My child has been racially profiled. He was in Glendale, California and did exactly everything the cops told him to do, including letting them illegally search his car. It was bogus because they didn’t give him the ticket for what he was pulled over for. Then he’s at University of Southern California, the school that I was going to transfer him to, when police stopped him for having his hands in his pockets. So guess where he’s going? Howard University. I’m not paying $50K so I can’t sleep at night wondering is this the night my son is getting racially profiled on campus.”

A California Family is Stumped about what to do with a Live-In Nanny they say refuses to work, refuses to be Fired and refuses to leave.

In fact, Marcella Bracamonte claims that the nanny, Diane Stretton, has threatened to sue the Family for wrongful firing and elder abuse.

Marcella and Ralph Bracamonte of Upland, California, say they hired Stretton, 64, as a Live-In Nanny on March 4 to help with their three children, ages 11, 4, and 1. According to the couple, the terms of Stretton’s employment were that Stretton was to Nanny for the Family and help around the house in exchange for room and board.

“We’ve done it before and have never had a problem,” Marcella Bracamonte told ABC News. “I was a stay-at-home mom and thought it would be good to have someone around to help out.”

“The first few weeks she was awesome,” Bracamonte said. “She would come places with us, help out the kids. She was really great.”

Then things changed.

“All of a sudden she stopped working, she would stay in her room all day and only come out when food was ready,” said Bracamonte.

Stretton then told the couple she had chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, which prevented her from helping around the house.

After what Bracamonte said was weeks of failed attempts to encourage Stretton to perform some of her agreed upon duties, the couple approached her on June 6 with a “last chance letter” reiterating the conditions of her job and stating the consequences if she continued to ignore her responsibilities. Stretton, Bracamonte said, refused to sign the letter, saying that the job was too much for her and she would be leaving in 30 days.

The Bracamontes approached her with a second letter putting her 30-day notice in writing, which, they said, she also refused to sign.

“When I asked her why she wouldn’t sign the letter she said ‘It’s not legal,’ and slammed the door in my face,” Bracamonte recalled. “Once she said the word legal, I knew it wasn’t going to be fun.”

Bracamonte called the police, but the cops declined to do anything, saying it was a civil matter. Lt. John Moore of the Upland Police Department confirmed to ABC News that there is no immediate action that can be taken against Stretton, saying "generally, once some**** has established residency, you have to go through a formal eviction process.”

Bracamonte soon realized that this was not Stretton’s first time with legal matters. Stretton reportedly has been involved in 36 lawsuits, landing herself on California’s Vexatious Litigant Lists for repeatedly abusing the legal system.

“Anyone who looks at her crooked, she sues,” said Bracamonte.

She claims that Stretton is now threatening to sue for wrongful firing and elder abuse.

Stretton is still living in the family’s home, eating the family’s food and Bracamonte said Stretton told her she wanted the Family out of the house from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

“I’m not going to bend for her,” said Bracamonte. “I’m in charge, this is my house. She’s not going to scare me out of my own house.”

But Bracamonte fears for her three children staying in the house with Stretton, saying “I worry there’s obviously something not right in her mind, and the police won’t protect us until someone gets hurt.”

“You don’t know what you’re opening yourself up to when you open your house to someone,” said Bracamonte.

The owner of an Oklahoma restaurant who declared last week that he won’t serve “freaks,” “f*ggots,” the disabled, or people on welfare now finds himself the victim of an online campaign to brand his establishment the “Best Gay Club” in Oklahoma City.

Gary James of Gary’s Chicaros restaurant told KFOR last week that “I really don’t want gays around. Any man that would compromise his own **** would compromise anything.”

The “gays” have responded on Yelp and Facebook by declaring James’s establishment the “[b]est place for hot man sex!”

Another reviewer notes that “Gary does’t serve tube steak. He asks for yours when you walk in the door. But don’t ask to use his backdoor, he saves that for minorities.”

The restaurant’s official t-shirt proudly threatens violence against minorities.

It is not known whether any of the “Yelpers” who claim the establishment is “the best gay and/or BDSM club in or around Oklahoma” have actually dined in the restaurant.

Raw Story attempted to contact Gary James to discern whether there had been an uptake in tickets and tables since this story broke last week, but despite calling during listed business hours, the call went to a voicemail system that indicated that the restaurant could not save any more messages.

This Wednesday will bring a nationwide wave of strikes and protests by low-wage workers and their supporters, calling for higher pay. For some con**** on why, consider this: you, the taxpayer, are already subsidizing these workers to the tune of Billions of dollars.

A new study out of the University of California attempts to quantify the extent to which low-wage employees of major corporations end up having their basic living expenses paid by the public, due to the fact that the profitable major corporations that employ them pay them so very little. (This is a fairly regular exercise by some economist or other, and always enlightening.) These are working Americans. No one can argue that they are lazy. Also, for many of them, their employers are some of the world’s biggest and most valuable public companies. Walmart. McDonald’s. Target. These are not a class of workers exclusively employed by mom and pop operations. With those two things in mind, chew on this: the researchers found thatthe total cost of public aid to poor working families from the federal government and state governments is $153 billion per year.

That is to say that we, the taxpayers, are Paying $153 billion per year to supplement the very low wages paid to our fellow working Americans by many large, profitable corporations. That is an amount roughly equal to the entire annual budget of the US Department of Agriculture.

It is one thing to say, "Fast food workers don’t deserve $15 per hour." But realize that what you are saying really amounts to, "I prefer to pay the difference between what fast food workers earn and what they need to live myself, rather than making their employers pay it." Framed that way, some Americans might start thinking about this wage issue a bit differently.

Beef is definitely brewing between Bobbi Kristina and Angela Bassett….and it’s all over a biopic.

As you know, Angela will be making her directorial debut later this year on the Lifetime-produced Whitney Houston biopic, and actress Yaya DaCosta has already been cast to Play the lead role, even though Bobbi Kristina expressed That she wanted to Play her mother.

During a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Angela revealed why Bobbi Kris was the furthest thing from her mind when thinking of who could Play Whitney. In short, the girl just isn’t built for the acting thing yet.

"I did not think about casting her. And probably for a number of reasons, you know. One being That she’s not an actress. I know she’s acted here and there. I know she’s been on their family’s reality show, but she’s not an actress and acting is a craft. It’s an attempt to illuminate the complexities of human behavior and life. And this is a very fast-paced schedule; we have just 21 days to tell this story. It’s more than just saying lines and turning the light on. You have to drive the story—there’s a technical aspect.

No lies told there. Still, Bobbi Kristina felt a way because she hopped on Twitter and accused Angela of being born a man.

Sheesh! You would’ve thought Angela dragged Bobbi in her interview, however she was just being honest. Bobbi only has two reality shows and one guest star appearance on Tyler Perry’s For Better Or Worse TV show under her belt. With just three weeks to shoot such an emotional and complex film, they definitely couldn’t waste it on properly training Bobbi Kris. And with her attitude it’s certainly not going to get her booked for other work.

In other news, Angela did reveal That they will Play up the positive things That happened in Whitney’s life versus making the film a negative depiction of her. Still, they did not get the family’s blessing:

They’re not participating. We reached out to them in the early days; of course we’re not going to do the movie and not say anything to them,” she said. “You can if you’re using public domain, but that’s not our desire. We paid our respects and let the conversation be had, just to get their okay. They certainly could have been not involved and against it.

A New York Orthodox Rabbi announced last night that he’s refusing to leave his post—despite his synagogue board’s requests to the contrary in response to the revelation of his habit of taking naked sauna dips with young male congregants in the 1980s and 90s, some of whom were as young as 12 years old.

The shvitz enthusiast, Rabbi Jonathan Rosenblatt, had previously promised to work out a deal in which the board would buy out his remaining contract. But it appears that the pants-less patriarch of the Riverdale Jewish Center had a change of heart. From The New York Times:

“This is a crisis created by my own lapses of judgment,” said Rabbi Rosenblatt, 58, on a recording of the speech transcribed by a synagogue member. “I have brought pain to people, shame to my family and I have caused a desecration of the divine name.”

Still, according to another member, he said “that the calls for him to no longer be the Rabbi are disproportionate to what he did. And he said he looks forward to serving his community.”

Over 200 members of the 700-member synagogue had signed a petition urging Rosenblatt to keep his post, and the Rabbi maintains that he didn’t do anything warranting dismissal. Some of his old students, however, seem to disagree.

Speaking to the the Times, several of the (now grown) men said the naked Sauna discussions made them understandably uncomfortable, and that the Rabbi would even “gawk” at them. When the synagogue found out about the rabbi’s questionable practices back when they were still going on, the temple’s leadership “urged him to stop.” And did absolutely nothing else.
