Gwyneth Paltrow doing the food stamp challenge

Gwynnie has woved to live on $29 a week just like poor people. Should be interesting. I find her shopping a bit weird, no milk or meat of course, but one tomato and one sweet potato? And no fruit except for a bunch of limes – for the mojitos, maybe?

I know, too easy. TOO easy.
Up until not too long ago, I’m guessing that Goopy Paltrow thought that “food stamps” was a type of artisanal stamp ink that a Dutch artisan made using organic heirloom purple dragon carrots grown with Arabian horse manure and imported iceberg water. But then her good friend and Spanish eatin’ tour partner Mario Batali told her what food stamps really are and told her about how he raises awareness of the struggles people on SNAP benefits (formerly known as food stamps) face while trying to feed a family on such little money.
Mario Batali is on the food Bank For New York City board and he’s fighting to keep congress from continuing to cut benefits. To help raise awareness, Mario asked New Yorkers and his fancy, privileged rich friends to do the #FoodBankNYCChallenge. Mario challenged them to feel the plight of the poor by only spending $29 per person (which is what people on SNAP get) a week on food. There’s rules for this challenge too. They can use coupons, but they can’t get food from others or use food they already have. Lord, fuck, you know some evil TV executive is looking at Mario’s challenge and thinking about how they’re going to pitch a reality show where a rich bitch and a poor person switch lives for a week. They’ll call it Class Swap and every**** will learn something from it, of course.
Mario asked The Out Of Touch Club’s president Goopy Paltrow to do the #FoodBankNYCChallenge, because he knew the kind of attention that’d get. Goopy is doing it and today, she tweeted all the groceries she bought for only $29. Goopy is trying to be healthy and shit, but it’s pretty impossible to be healthy on a $29 a week budget (which I guess is her point).

Is that for a family of rabbits? Is it for an Olsen? I mean, kale?! Cilantro?! Where are the packages of Top Ramen? Where’s the chicken? Where’s the 5lb bag of rice from the Asian supermarket? And all those limes. I know she has a lime tree and if she doesn’t, she can make little Moses hop the wall over to the neighbor’s yard to steal their limes. But she should tell him to throw the limes over before the guard dog gets him.
Well, I guess Goopy is going on one of her cleanses this week. She’s going to survive only on jalapeño and garlic elixirs and lime and kale enemas. The rest is for the purifying salsa face mask she’s going to make. I can’t wait for her new GOOP post about the SNAP cleanse.

Yeah, yeah — we’re aware not Everyone is a fan of the perfectly polished Paltrow.
And that the mere thought of her is enough to make some of you retch.

But Gwyneth herself is spilling the beans on an early ****ing mishap that literally left her dining guests losing their lunch. She was only 18 at the time, so we’ll give her a break.
“I went to the store and bought an eggplant and a jar of tomato sauce and some really rubbery mozzarella cheese, “she told Rachael Ray. “I didn’t know that when you **** eggplant, you first have to sweat it to get all the bitter juice out, and I didn’t realize that you also have to bread eggplant parmesan and fry it before. So I put slices of raw eggplant with jarred tomato sauce and mozzarella. And Everyone Threw up.”

Her ****ing has since improved, and she’s even announced she’s working on a third ****book that will focus on “clean comfort food” for the whole family:

I just run out of ideas for the kids and family. … I think I might do appetizers for a Party section because that’s always a tough one. It’s like you’re having a party, and you don’t want to be in the kitchen. Kind of make-ahead trays and stuff you can stick in the oven. I would love easy Party food and kid-family food, and that’s Where I am right now.

If you’re planning to detox this January and need some advice then look no further than the queen of lean, Gwyneth Paltrow.
The actress turned health guru has famously tried a number of detoxes and written a book about her healthy eating habits.
Now on her lifestyle website Goop, she has revealed the secret to detox success for anyone keen to cut back in2020.

The website offers a food plan with recipes and explains the benefits of detoxing for those who have made a New Year resolution to get healthy.
Mother-of-two Gwyneth, 42, writes: ‘Okay. Time to give that liver a break. January always signifies detox time for us, and this year is no different.

‘The more we research, the more concerned about environmental toxins we become. We asked Bruce Lourie if it would be possible during our annual cleanse to not only drop some accumulated weight, but to get rid of some of the heavy ****ls, fire retardants, and pesticides in our systems, too (it is!).’

She adds that she recommends a number of wellness centres in the U.S. that have helped her detox in the past.

She said: ‘I checked out some spots in Los Angeles to aid and abet us in our attempts: Tikkun, a little day spa in Santa Monica where they take detox to the next level, and The Springs LA, a beautiful new wellness center in a warehouse in downtown LA where the practitioners were remarkable and I grabbed delicious vegan snacks on the way out. I may move in there.

‘There is more in the guides online, like Surya Spa, a full Panchakarma healing cleanse I did last spring, which was one of the most intense detoxes of my life (that’s saying a lot).’

For those who can’t get to L.A., they can follow Gwyneth’s Goop plan.
The website states that it is a ‘simple but tough’ detox. Basically, you have avoid all your favourite foods and drinks.
It explains: ‘Just say no to: alcohol, caffeine, added sugar, gluten, dairy, soy, corn, and nightshades (white, blue, red, and yellow potatoes, tomatoes, eggplant).’ Easy!
Other tips for an effective detox include drinking plenty of water (‘hot water in the morning is key’) and ‘getting to the spa for a handful of treatments: Anything that gets the lymphatic system moving is clutch, and IR saunas are particularly great (and effective) as sweat is one of our ****’s most effective means for flushing toxins.’
It adds: ‘Think about kicking the week off with a colonic – they definitely get things going.’

Gwyneth Paltrow Talks Aging: "I’d Rather Die Than Study My Face"

Gwyneth Paltrow Talks Aging: "I’d Rather Die Than Study My Face"

She’s of the generation of actresses who have defied many of the barriers women face in Hollywood.
And at 42 years of age Gwyneth Paltrow is enjoying a career that is only continuing to blossom.
The actress recently opened up about the ageing process with Stylist.co.uk where she admitted she’d ‘rather die’ Than Study her face in the mirror.

‘I’m not the type to look in the mirror and Study my looks,’ Paltrow explained.
Adding: ‘God no! I’d Rather die Than be studying my face like that!’
And when it comes to her morning beauty routine, she likes to keep it simple.

Gwyneth Paltrow may not be bothered about her wrinkles, but she says she’s got a lot better things to do Than look in the mirror. Well we think she should start as she might love what she sees, because we do!
Donning an all-white cut-out Roland Mouret dress, Gwyneth posed on the red carpet at an event in LA.
The form-fitting number really clung to all the right places and the Paul Andrew snakeskin heels set the look off in style.
If you want a chic ensemble of your own from Roland Mouret, then click right to check out other pieces at Net-a-Porter, as this one is not yet available.
Or head below to discover what we’ve found for you on the virtual high street. We’ve even found a cute pair of snakeskin heels so you can complete the look to channel Gwyn perfectly.

The mother-of-two, who she shares with estranged husband Chris Martin, says she begins the day as most single moms would: ‘I just brush my teeth and try to get dressed and get everyone up.’
‘The morning is definitely not the time when I look in the mirror. I don’t tend to wear much make-up either.’
Paltrow then discussed the experience of being on the red carpet and having her every angle analyzed.

‘If I ever see a picture of myself on the red carpet, I always think of it as the public version of me that’s out there,’ the Goop founder said.
‘I guess I think of it as a character, a two dimensional character. That character acts as a screen that people project their own stuff onto.
‘I really don’t think of it as me. I think of it as an image that’s been created by other people.’
But she also practices self-acceptance when it comes to how she feels about herself: ‘I like my wrinkles and you know, I like what I see.
‘Of course I can get into the frame of mind where I get critical about this and that, but I really try to not do that and try to appreciate the incredible life I’ve lived and all I’ve learned. I like that all of that is written on my face.’
