Fascinating Study Shows How Emotions
Are Mapped On The Human ****

It’s well known that attitudes, emotions and feelings affect our **** in a variety of ways. For example, feelings of hopelessness
affect the ****’s hormone system and change the chemical flows within our brains. Different emotional states act as
triggers that impact our biology in a variety of ways. Brain activity changes during different emotional states.
The list goes on and on.

A new Study published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Science demonstrates that different emotional states
trigger different physical sensations on the ****. Emotions such as anger, impacted the **** in a different area
compared to the emotion of fear, disgust, happiness,
love, depression, and more. Each individual
emotion had it’s own unique part of the ****
that correlated with it.

The Study was conducted at Aalto University
by a team of bio-medical engineers. 700 volunteers from Finland, Sweden and Taiwan participated in the study.

“Emotions are often felt in the ****, and somatosensory
feedback has been proposed to trigger conscious emotional experiences. Here we reveal maps of bodily
sensations associated with different Emotions using a unique topographical self-report method. In five experiments,
participants were shown two silhouettes of bodies alongside emotional words, stories, movies, or facial expressions.
They were asked to color the bodily regions whose
activity they felt increasing or decreasing while viewing each stimulus. Different Emotions were consistently
associated with statically separable bodily sensation maps across experiments.
These maps were concordant across
West European and East Asian samples.”

Regardless of race, gender, different emotional states
correlated with the same part of the **** with the majority of participants.
Usually when you have a group
as large as 700 people, your going to get pretty
reliable and conclusive results.

“Emotions adjust not only our mental, but our bodily states.
This way they prepare us to react swiftly to the dangers,
but also to the opportunities such as pleasurable social interactions
present in the environment.”
Lauri Nummenmaa, assistant professor in
an Aalto University press release.

This Study is yet another important reminder
of how Emotions can impact the ****.
Do you pay attention to the ways in which emotions
affect your ****, health, and others around you? Finding
your inner peace is a great way to improve your health.

She’s of the generation of actresses who have defied many of the barriers women face in Hollywood.
And at 42 years of age Gwyneth Paltrow is enjoying a career that is only continuing to blossom.
The actress recently opened up about the ageing process with Stylist.co.uk where she admitted she’d ‘rather die’ Than Study her face in the mirror.

‘I’m not the type to look in the mirror and Study my looks,’ Paltrow explained.
Adding: ‘God no! I’d Rather die Than be studying my face like that!’
And when it comes to her morning beauty routine, she likes to keep it simple.

Gwyneth Paltrow may not be bothered about her wrinkles, but she says she’s got a lot better things to do Than look in the mirror. Well we think she should start as she might love what she sees, because we do!
Donning an all-white cut-out Roland Mouret dress, Gwyneth posed on the red carpet at an event in LA.

Paltrow then discussed the experience of being on the red carpet and having her every angle analyzed.

‘If I ever see a picture of myself on the red carpet, I always think of it as the public version of me that’s out there,’ the Goop founder said.
‘I guess I think of it as a character, a two dimensional character. That character acts as a screen that people project their own stuff onto.
‘I really don’t think of it as me. I think of it as an image that’s been created by other people.’
But she also practices self-acceptance when it comes to how she feels about herself: ‘I like my wrinkles and you know, I like what I see.
‘Of course I can get into the frame of mind where I get critical about this and that, but I really try to not do that and try to appreciate the incredible life I’ve lived and all I’ve learned. I like that all of that is written on my face.’

Doutzen Kroes wants her daughter ‘to study & have different aspirations’

خليجية

Model Doutzen Kroes says her daughter doesn’t have to follow in her footsteps.
The pregnant Dutch stunner, who’s expecting a girl with hubby Sunnery James, told us, “Instead of saying, ‘You’re so beautiful,’ I’ll say, ‘You’re smart,’ so she’ll have different aspirations in life than beauty and modeling. Though I love my job, I’m not changing the world. I’d love for her to study and to have different aspirations. We need to teach girls they can become presidents, and it’s not about beauty all the time.”

Study: US is an oligarchy, not a democracy

Study: US is an oligarchy, not a democracy

Study: US is an oligarchy, not a democracy

خليجيةWhat in the world?Pieces of global opinionخليجيةThis man does not like to be disturbed while he’s running the US
A review of the best commentary on and around the world…
Today’s must-read
The US is dominated by a rich and powerful elite.
So concludes a recent study by Princeton University Prof Martin Gilens and Northwestern University Prof Benjamin I Page.
This is not news, you say.
Perhaps, but the two professors have conducted exhaustive research to try to present data-driven support for this conclusion. Here’s how they explain it:
Multivariate analysis indicates that economic elites and organised groups representing business interests have substantial independent impacts on US government policy, while average citizens and mass-****d interest groups have little or no independent influence.
In English: the wealthy few move policy, while the average American has little power.
The two professors came to this conclusion after reviewing answers to 1,779 survey questions asked between 1981 and 2024 on public policy issues. They broke the responses down by income level, and then determined how often certain income levels and organised interest groups saw their policy preferences enacted.
"A proposed policy change with low support among economically elite Americans (one-out-of-five in favour) is adopted only about 18% of the time," they write, "while a proposed change with high support (four-out-of-five in favour) is adopted about 45% of the time."
On the other hand:
When a majority of citizens disagrees with economic elites and/or with organised interests, they generally lose. Moreover, because of the strong status quo bias built into the US political system, even when fairly large majorities of Americans favour policy change, they generally do not get it.
They conclude:
Americans do enjoy many features central to democratic governance, such as regular elections, freedom of speech and association and a widespread (if still contested) franchise. But we believe that if policymaking is dominated by powerful business organisations and a small number of affluent Americans, then America’s claims to being a democratic society are seriously threatened.
Eric Zuess, writing in Counterpunch, isn’t surprised by the survey’s results.
"American democracy is a sham, no matter how much it’s pumped by the oligarchs who run the country (and who control the nation’s "news" media)," he writes. "The US, in other words, is basically similar to Russia or most other dubious ‘electoral’ ‘democratic’ countries. We weren’t formerly, but we clearly are now."
This is the "Duh Report", says Death and Taxes magazine’s Robyn Pennacchia. Maybe, she writes, Americans should just accept their fate.
"Perhaps we ought to suck it up, admit we have a classist society and do like England where we have a House of Lords and a House of Commoners," she writes, "instead of pretending as though we all have some kind of equal opportunity here."
