What Went Down At Lainey Gossip’s SMUT Soiree

Charlize Theron loves cocaine. Bradley Cooper is bi. Jay-Z and Beyonce have an open relationship (and likely high-five each other after each extra-marital casual tryst). These are just a few of the “scintillating” tidbits Lainey Gossip shared with a gaggle of girls at last night’s SMUT Soiree.

The annual coming together of the celebrity-obsessed, Lainey’s affair saw eTalk and The Social-loving ladies donning their best attempts at summertime glam (read: polyester and faux silk) to revel in the scoops supposedly privy to Ms. Lainey’s world. Attendees neared white-girl-wasted thanks to open bars by Grey Goose and Perroni. One-too-many hot dogs were devoured unceremoniously as the ladies turned into true product whores, lining up for near an hour to snatch sample-sized swag. We even spied a couple gals trying to make use of the urinals in the men’s room. You can take the girl out of Brampton but you can’t take the Brampton out of the girl…

Shortly after 8pm, Lainey’s spotlight shone as the room’s energy seized up in anticipation of the hot gossip the “celebrity insider” would certainly share. Ever the crass ******, Ms. Gossip… er… Lui dropped f-bombs with a frequency usually reserved for sailors and inmates as she sipped on cocktails and stuffed her gullet with two-bite dogs.

The audience lined up with fervour, anxious to inquire about the love lives (Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon won’t last forever, but they’ll give it the ol’ college try), dispositions (apparently Julia Roberts is synonymous with total bitch), and fame-mongering (the Kim + Kanye train is powered by Instagram likes) of the rich and famous. Seated on the edge of folding chairs, the women giggled, shouted, and applauded with gusto as every word from Lainey’s mouth was absorbed like testaments from a prophet. This couldn’t just be gossip they were hearing – it had to be fact! (You know… just “fact” sans any reliable sources, evidence, ********s, or photos to support the claims.)

The SMUT Soiree couldn’t have a more apropos moniker. It’s one-part dish-and-delight, one-part stuff-your-face, and one-part societal-degradation. All this in the name of some juicy tabloid tales… #winning.

New Jersey Man Claims X Went and Took It From Him

In a bizarre (and thus plausible) addition to the Legend of DMX, WPIX reports the rapper is accused of acting a fool, losing his cool, and robbing a 21-year-old New Jersey man at a Newark gas station early Easter morning.

According to police spokesperson Sgt. Ronald Glover, X’s alleged victim says he first spotted the inner demon battle rapper at—appropriately enough—an Exxon station around 12:30 a.m on Sunday. From NJ.com:

"The two had a brief conversation about rap music and during the conversation a male in DMX’s entourage, showed the victim a gun and demanded the victim’s money," Glover said in a statement.

The victim said he pulled $3,200 in cash From his pocket, and DMX "snatched the money out of his hand" before jumping into one of four black Cadillac Escalades that left the scene, Glover said.

Authorities say they are still in the early stages of the investigation and no criminal charges have been filed, but ask anyone with additional information to stop, drop, shut him down and call a cop.

Alec Baldwin has been arrested.

The volatile actor was handcuffed by police officers in New York on Tuesday and taken away in a squad car, according to In Touch with one witness telling the publication Baldwin ‘went ballistic on the cops, screaming at them’ during the incident which led to his arrest.

The New York Police Department confirmed to MailOnline that Baldwin was stopped at 10.15am Tuesday riding his bike the wrong way on Fifth Avenue, at the corner of 16th Street.

He was approached by officers because he was riding the wrong way and asked to provide ID which he didn’t have on him. Officers said that he then started to argue with them and was taken into custody.

He was taken to 13th Precinct where he was identified and given two summons – one traffic violation for riding the wrong way and a second for disorderly conduct.

He has been released.

By the time he was cuffed he was ‘calm and quiet’, an onlooker told In Touch.

Eddie Cacho, a hairdresser at Dramatics NYC Salon, saw the commotion going on outside by the parking meter. He told MailOnline today that he saw an older gentleman handcuffed and still sitting on his bike. He was being spoken to by two female NYPD officers, who appeared to be Latino and in their twenties.

Mr Cacho said the man, later identified as Baldwin, seemed sombre, was not animated and was not resisting arrest. He was in handcuffs on his bike for around ten minutes.

A man who identified himself only as Kim, who works at the flower stall attached to Regale Deli, said he saw the man looking angry and animated before his arrest. He said the whole thing took 20 minutes from start to finish. By the end, two additional NYPD cars had turned up as back-up.

Drew Exis, who works for the city managing traffic flow, took notice when he saw the extra police cars arrive. He saw a man being cuffed and have his head being put down as he was put in the back of the car and driven down Fifth Avenue.

Balwdin was alone at the time of the arrest and is reported to have been cycling for exercise.

In the pictures, obtained by In Touch, he can be seen wearing shorts, a jacket and a visor as he is led into the car by a female police officer.
